What We Do
Growing With The Land
We believe food should taste like it came from somewhere — and that starts long before it reaches your plate.
Our farm sits in the woods, and that’s very much by design. The trees, the shade, the living soil beneath our feet — these aren’t things we work around. They’re part of how we farm. We try to work with the natural systems already present on this land rather than replace them, drawing on permaculture principles to build something that sustains itself over time.
Flavor drives every decision we make. Growing food that actually tastes good isn’t complicated, but it does require patience — healthy soil, animals that aren’t stressed, and a willingness to slow down and let things develop properly. We’re not chasing yield or uniformity. We’re chasing that moment when something we grew genuinely surprises you.
Our animals are central to all of it. Giving them space, purpose, and a life that suits their nature isn’t just the right thing to do — it makes the whole system work better. They move through the land, contribute to it, and are taken care of in return. That’s the kind of loop we’re trying to build here.
We’re still learning, still adjusting, and honestly still pretty in love with the process. We hope you can taste that in what we grow.
Our Products
Our chickens and ducks have the run of the property — moving freely through the woods and pasture, foraging the way birds are meant to. The eggs they produce reflect that. Deep yolks, rich flavor, and the kind of quality that comes from animals living a genuinely healthy life.
Our meat birds are raised the same way — on pasture and forest floor, with plenty of space and fresh air, moved regularly so they’re always on clean ground with access to fresh forage.
Our goats are rotationally grazed through the wooded areas of the farm, browsing on the diverse mix of plants the forest provides. Moving them through different areas regularly keeps the land healthy, gives each section time to recover, and ensures the goats always have access to fresh, varied forage. It’s a simple practice that makes a real difference in their health and in the quality of what they produce.
Our produce is grown using inputs that come largely from the farm itself — compost, animal manure, and the natural fertility that healthy, living soil builds over time. We keep it as close to a closed loop as we can, letting the land feed the garden and the garden feed the land.
